How does interpretation work?

Interpretation is the real-time conversion of spoken language from one language to another, allowing seamless communication across linguistic and cultural boundaries. There are two main modes: consecutive and simultaneous—each suited to different settings.

Consecutive Interpretation

  • The speaker pauses to allow the interpreter to speak. This method is ideal for smaller meetings and interviews.
  • Benefits: Clear and highly accurate; allows for nuance and tone.
  • Considerations: Takes more time, as speakers and interpreters alternate.

Simultaneous Interpretation

  • The interpreter speaks almost at the same time as the speaker, usually via headsets or sound booths. This is commonly used in large conferences, webinars, or high-speed discussions.
  • Benefits: Fast-paced, real-time delivery without delays; ideal for time-sensitive meetings and events.
  • Considerations: Requires technical setup and a team of two or more interpreters rotating every 10 minutes due to the intensity.

What is your pricing structure?

Our pricing varies based on several key factors, including the number of interpreters required, the duration of the assignment, and the mode of interpretation (simultaneous or consecutive).

Are you or your interpreters able to travel?

Yes—our interpreters are available for both domestic and international assignments, and we're happy to travel when needed. Depending on your location, we may also be able to assign a qualified interpreter from our extensive network, reducing travel costs and logistical lead time.

How far in advance should I book your services?

We recommend reaching out as early as possible.

As a boutique agency representing a select team of top-tier interpreters, we take great care in matching each client with a professional who is best suited to their industry, objectives, and event format.

Because our interpreters are in high demand—particularly during peak seasons in spring and fall—early inquiries significantly increase the likelihood of securing the right fit.

Do you provide technical support for events and remote projects?

While we do not currently offer in-house technical support or manage audio setup for large-scale events or virtual platforms, we're always happy to discuss your requirements and help you determine the best path forward.
